Our Healthcare Assistant supports our practice nurses with their daily work and carries out tasks such as phlebotomy (drawing blood), blood pressure measurement and new patient checks. Debbie also carries out free NHS Health Checks to patients aged 40 and 74.

Community Midwives

Midwife

A midwife holds an antenatal clinic on Tuesdays between 9:30 – 14:30. Patients may see her directly without a prior appointment with the GP.

Community Nurses

A district nursing team is attached to the practice and they see patients in the community for nursing care and support, You can leave a message for them on 01673 233600.

Out of hours cover

If you have a medical emergency when the surgery is closed or require medication urgently please ring 111 and your call will be transferred to the emergency doctor.

If you have difficulty in contacting a doctor in an emergency dial 999 for an ambulance.
Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
